[Found!] Blogger.com OS X Client

ecto-screenshot.jpg I'd have thought I was in a larger crowd, using my Mac to blog on Blogger.com. It took me quite a while to find an OS X client. Finally did, called Ecto. Note that you need to make one quick fix otherwise you'll pull your hair out over spacing issues. Log into Blogger.com. Go to Settings => Formatting and turn off Convert Line Breaks.

Thanks to this forum post for the hint.

Note--I gave a good run at the vim-blogger integration, but couldn't get it running. If anyone does, I'd still love a vim-based solution.

In the meantime, I'm a happy Ecto customer. Much better than trying to manage posts always online and always by the web.

Hey Jonathan,

Thanks for the tip! I'm giving it a spin right now I posted my latest blog post using ecto. It looks good so far :)
I'm thinking about attending Scotland on Rails in March. Will you be there?

Take care,

Johannes

Hi Jonathan,

I was impressed to find out that you cover two areas that I am very interested in seeking advice/partnership: RORs and iPhone dev.

I am close to launching my first ROR SaaS app (http://scoutforce.com) and I hope to launch 3 to 4 more in the next year for the niche market of college coaches. We let go our only onshore developer recently and are discussing replacing him with another onshore partner/developer.

I am also in the process of pushing out a couple iPhone app ideas and looking to see what's out there in terms of partnerships and/or development cost estimates.

I would love to chat with you over the phone if you are interested at all. I am pretty free after 8pm EST any day of the week when the two little kiddos go to bed.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Oh no! I just wanted to get my Scotland on Rails ticket, just to see that they're sold out already! What a bummer.
